AboutJavier Sancho-Pelluz:

Dr. Sancho-Pelluz is associate professor at the School of Medicine of the UCV. He supervised 4 doctoral theses, and right now he is supervising 2 Phd students. He also supervised bachelor and master’s theses. Dr. Sancho-Pelluz has been a lecturer of Human Physiology for the last ten years in the School of Medicine and Dentistry and in Nursing School.

He has been studying the retina for the last 15 years and has been working at different universities, including Lund (Sweden), Tübigen (Germany) and Columbia University (USA). Nowadays his interests include the extracellular vesicles released from retinal cells and their cargo, specially micro RNAs, which are key for the normal function of the human retina.
