Dr. Wijnholds is Associated Professor at the LUMC Department of Ophthalmology. He published 96 original publications that were cited more than 9000 times.
He supervised 15 postdoctoral fellows, 61 undergraduate students and Master students, 5 research assistants, and 4 completed doctoral theses. Currently, he supervises 3 PhD students. He coordinated 1 FP5 and 1 FP7 EU consortia in which PhD students and postdoctoral fellows were successfully trained.
